About Dick’s Sporting Goods
“Always follow your dreams”, this line was the inspiration of Richard Stack (Dick) the founder of the company ‘Dick’s Sporting Goods’. Dick started this company in year 1948, when he was at the age of 18. After World War II Dick was working in an Army/Navy store in his hometown of Binghamton, New York. He gave a suggestion to his store owner to increasing the product line to include fishing and camping supplies but owner did not like that idea. Then he discussed with his grandmother about this idea and she gave him encouragement and $300 from her savings. He started his first store and named “bait & tackle” on Court Street near Howard Avenue.

Chilis is one of the well-known brands in America, which first started in 1975 by Larry Lavine. Lavine planned to make a different type of restaurant with a different sort of menu including unusual form of hamburgers at an affordable price. This chain was successfully proved its name as the early 1980s they opened 28 Chili’s locations in all over the region. In the year 1983, Lavine sold the company to restaurant executive Norman E. Brinker.

Folgers Coffee Company Building at 101 Howard in San Francisco, California is the five story building and the former headquarter of Folgers Coffee. It is registered on United States National Register of Historic Places.
